Services

Not so sure about this yet? Many parents aren’t. Talking to a behaviorist can raise a lot of questions. If you’d like to get to know me first, I’d love to create that space. You can join one of our workshops (some are free), or book a FREE 15 minute discovery call.

Start Small

$156 (1 hour consult + written plan)

This is our intake session in which I get to know you better. We’ll discuss concerns and questions, then chart a course forward. Each plan we develop will give numerous tools, things to try, and lots of usable language. I recommend implementing one or two at a time so you can keep focus, gain confidence, and try tools in different situations.

We find that when families stay connected, progress is more effective and sustainable. During a Foundations session, we’ll discuss what level of continued involvement is best for your family. If you already know you’d like to deepen your investment, the Momentum Package listed below, supports families seeking stronger outcomes at a small discount.

MOMENTUm: Intake Consultation + Written plan + Follow-up

$236

Meaningful progress is most often seen when we have time to develop and refine a plan together. Brief follow-up check-ins allow us to adjust strategies and address concerns as they arise. This package includes two additional check-ins at a $10 discounted rate. Families who choose this level of support often report greater follow-through and more consistent progress toward their goals.

If you’re struggling with school specific concerns, I’m here to help with this too. I’ve worked in the education system for over 13 years and know how to support tough behaviors and learning disabilities within this specific setting. Let’s meet for 30 minutes to start discussing concerns and work through options.

  • Classroom observations are available for families local to New Market/Mount Jackson/Harrisonburg/Dayton VA.

  • Consult with school: If your school/preschool/daycare is open to the idea, I’m happy to consult with them as well.

School/PreSchool Observation

How is this different from a child study? In public schools, a child study focuses on observations and testing to determine whether a child qualifies for school-based services. Child Insight, on the other hand, provides parents with clear, objective information about their child’s specific skill gaps that may be driving challenging behaviors. We then build a plan together which supports areas of struggle and teaches the more adaptive behaviors we need.

Are you a childcare worker or educator? We have services and resources just for you! You can find these HERE.

Coaching Services: for teens and young adults.

$75 (1 hour)

I’ve spent the largest part of my career working with teens and their families. I’m excited to bring my behavioral certification and mental health background together to create coaching services for young people. Coaching is creating an actionable plan to help your teen/young adult tackle tough spaces in relationships, behaviors, or emotions. For faith-based families, I offer time in Bible study as a part of our sessions as well.

QUESTION!

If you’re really not sure where you want to start, or even if this is the right spot for you, I’m here for that too. Send me an e-mail (stephanie.powell@childinsight.org), get in touch by phone (540-300-1748), or book a free 15 minute discovery call today!

***Behavioral consulting services are generally not covered by insurance. Child Insight does not work with or bill insurance companies.

**We ask that plans are made for your child’s care during consultation. These conversations can be best created when we are able to maintain focus and talk freely.
