You’ll always be the expert on your child.

Sometimes you just need a little extra help or some new inspiration. I’m a Child Behavior Specialist. Let’s develop a plan together.

  • Find Support

and define solutions for your unique family environment.

  • Grow

a better understanding of the strengths you bring to your family as a parent.

  • Strengthen

    relationships with your children.

  • Build

    the home life you desire.

  • Gain Insight

on your child’s mind and the messages they send each day.

Here to help…

  • We don’t need to always be the referee. We can teach siblings to work through issues together.

  • We all have emotions, and we all learn the best ways to express and take care of them. We can work through anxiety, anger, impulsivity, sadness, you name it.

  • Life is always changing and sometimes it requires adjustment. Get support in guiding your child through, grief, loss, divorce, separation, a move, or maybe the addition of a new sibling.

  • When we understand how best to teach, encourage, and inspire, we join in their success.

  • Ever wondered how on earth to motivate your child to follow-through with the things you need? We can help!

  • Not getting positive reports from school? Talk to Stephanie about her classroom observation services.

  • These are actually developmental milestones for all children, and we can successfully help them through.

  • These are often expressions of a child’s need. We can teach them a better way and help to keep these things from impacting relationships.

  • These are important health and happiness concerns. We can help!

  • There is no concern so big that we cannot find a way through.

Child Insight is prepared to help with children ages 18 months to 18 years.

We don’t have to feel that we must make our children behave. That’s a lot of pressure! Parenting is an opportunity to teach, to coach, and to truly set a foundation.

Instead of seeing the things our children bring us as problems, we can see them as moments to teach. Problems could suggest dead ends or worries that things won’t measure up. Teachable moments instead give opportunities and hope for better things.

This can put a spark and excitement in our parenting.

Meet Stephanie

Stephanie holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work. Her 14 year career has largely involved working with children and families in residential and educational settings. Her varied experiences have given unique views and involvement from the positions of parent, residential director, mentor, guidance counselor, mediator, speaker, educator, and coach. She is married to Andy and is a certified foster parent.

Stephanie is certified through The Early Years as a Child Behavior Specialist. She became interested in this certification due to its usable tools and hands-on practical approach.

Working in Foster Care has also brought opportunities to be heavily trained in both trauma informed and attachment informed modalities. She is currently working through an attachment masterclass with a renown attachment clinic. Foster parenting requires high creativity, intensity, and being able to work through big and tough emotions at a marathon pace. Stephanie brings all of this experience to the table when working with families.

Stephanie is a Christian and is happy to bring this background into any work, if desired. She strives to coach an “Assertive Voice” in parenting. This is something we never achieve in perfection but are always aiming for. Assertive parenting is high on boundaries, follow-through, and expectations, while also being high on understanding, emotional competence, and compassion. As parents, we are here to be bigger, stronger, wiser, and kind.
